Local Support Groups for Unpaid Carers in Havering

If you care for a family member, friend, or neighbour, your own wellbeing matters just as much as the person you care for. Caring can be deeply rewarding, but it can also be challenging and isolating, and you do not have to navigate it alone.

The charity IMAGO has launched a series of local Carers Information Hubs and Peer Support Groups across Havering. These sessions offer a welcoming, informal space to connect with other carers, have a coffee, access practical advice, and join in social activities.

No appointment is necessary — you are welcome to just drop in.

For our patients in Harold Hill, there are two nearby locations running regular sessions:

• Harold Hill Library (upstairs in pantry) – 19a Farnham Road, RM3 8ED
  • Carers Hub: Mondays, 12:30pm to 4:30pm
  • Support Group: 1st Monday of the month, 1:30pm to 3:00pm
• Paines Brook Court – 14 Paines Brook Way, RM3 9JN
  • Carers Hub: Tuesdays, 1:30pm to 4:30pm
  • Support Group: 3rd Tuesday of the month, 1:30pm to 3:00pm
    

Other locations across the borough include:

• Romford: Salvation Army Hub (High Street, RM1 1JJ) – Support Group on the 2nd Wednesday of the month, 10:30am to 12:30pm
• Hornchurch: HOPWA House (Inskip Drive, RM11 3UR) – Carers Hub on Wednesdays, 9:30am to 11:30am
• Rainham: Rainham Library (Celtic Farm Road, RM13 9GP) – Carers Hub on Fridays, 9:30am to 11:30am & Support Group on the 4th Friday of the month, 10:00am to 11:30am
